Fitted with modern furnishings with a touch of Japanese influences, Kei Kaisendon exudes a cozy atmosphere that invites diners to come in and get a taste of their food. And just in case you needed a reminder of what’s on the menu, Kei Kaisendon’s walls are embellished with larger-than-life illustrations of their mouthwatering rice bowls.

A quick look through Kei Kaisendon’s menu reveals that seafood is the name of the game at this eatery. While there are more than ten variations to choose from, the highly recommended bowls are without a doubt, the sashimi rice bowls. You can even eat them four ways: on its own, mixed with mayonnaise and chilli powder, blended with the house Sakurai chicken soup, or wrapped with the nori seaweed!

The Kei Signature Kaisendon is available in three sizes: Small ($12.90), Regular ($16.90), and Large ($19.90). The Regular Bowl is generously stuffed with diced sashimi and other seafood, and can easily pass for a large serving.

The Mentaiyaki Kaisendon ($17.90) is a definite hit with the crowds, featuring diced sashimi  doused with a generous amount of mentaiko sauce, and topped with seaweed and two types of roe. I certainly enjoyed the decadent bled of savoury and fresh in this one!
