Is it really ungatekeeping if dozens of others have already talked about it? Regardless, sharing is caring, and I’m here to share one of my favourite guilty pleasures – Muchachos’ $3 Taco Tuesdays.
Muchachos has been one of my go-to places for Mexican food in the CBD, especially when I’m craving something simple and substantial after my gym classes. The $3 Taco Tuesdays, featuring Muchachos’ made-to-order tacos, have become a hit with regulars.
Aside from classic meat-based flavours like chicken and steak, notable flavours include Lengua – Beef Tongue Taco ($7) which has a much more tender bite than steak. Go for the Barbacoa – Lamb Taco ($6.50) if you’re looking for something more gamey and sinful.

Don’t sleep on Muchachos’ non-meat flavours. The Pescado – Fish Taco ($5.60) is one popular flavour that sells out consistently. I love biting into that crisp skin and tasting the piping hot fish meat. The fish itself is pretty sizeable, making it one of the most value-for-money choices.

With tacos going for a fraction of the price, Muchachos’ Taco Tuesdays are a steal. There are no minimum orders required, either, so you can have as many of your favourite flavour as you want. Best get there early during dinnertime to avoid disappointment!
