What do you get when you combine traditional kuehs with a hip, modern setting? You get Cafe Confetti! Located a stone’s throw away from Tai Seng MRT, in Leong Huat Building, Cafe Confetti is the culmination of Confect.T’s recent rebrand and transition from online business to physical cafe.

Singapore’s cafe scene has expanded to the far corners of the west, with Surrey Hills Grocer, an Australian-style cafe and grocer setting up shop in none other than Boon Lay. Helmed by ex-banker Pang Gek Teng who first earned her food business chops in Down Under, it boast farm-to-table brunch staples and exclusive Australian produce at competitive prices.

Kream & Kensho had been on my radar for a while now, having taken over Stranger’s Reunion’s former space in Kampong Bahru in late 2020.

You get HoYo FEST! miHoYo’s biggest live event is in Singapore, and fans of the hit game Genshin Impact can now get a slice of the rea-life action at none other than Aniplus Cafe in Esplanade Mall.

The Genshin Impact themed cafe is the last leg in a trio of pop-up cafes that started running from November 2021. From now till 14 December, you can snack on food and drinks with a Genshin Impact twist, and shop from exclusive merch sold in-store!

Mylo’s recently took over the space formerly occupied by Fennel Cafe, serving homemade gelatos, baked goods, and even dog treats for your four-legged friends. Located at Gardens by the Bay’s Active Garden, the gorgeous glasshouse cafe is the perfect spot to catch your breath – and maybe some tempting desserts.

Japanese sandos seem to be in vogue these days, with cafes and restaurants alike offering their take on the popular convenience store snack. One such place, Hello Arigato, recently opened its doors along Upper Thomson Road.

Opened by the team behind hipster stalwart The Refinery, Hello Arigato is already seeing snaking queues for its thick sandos and Japanese-inspired treats.
