I’m a sucker for quirkily-themed foods, especially when they’re as adorable as Bakery 1946‘s hyper-realistic breads. From now till 10 March, get your Korean bread fix at their limited-time pop-up at Bugis Junction!

Also known as Suhyeongdang in South Korea, Bakery 1946 went viral for its K-Apple Bread, made and packaged like a fresh red apple – among other goods. Its hyper-realistic, grocery-themed breads will remind you of the kitchen toys from your childhood, with their cute and simple designs!

At $3.90 – $5.90, Bakery 1946’s goods are on the pricey side, but impossible to resist!
The K-Apple Bread ($5.90 for 1, $35.50 for box of 6) is a must-try, with juicy apple chunks, sweet jam, and rich cream cheese encased in a sizeable red yeast rice dough. Personally, I would have preferred more apple over cream cheese, but this is an interesting flavour combination nevertheless!

Most of the breads I tried from their grocery lineup have a distinct mochi-like skin that’s fun to pull apart, with flavours on the sweet side. Good news for the vegetable haters.
