The Simpsons™ LEGO® Minifigure Series

I’ve been obsessed with collecting mini figurines for the longest time. You see, while most girls my age were ooh-ing and aah-ing over the latest Barbie Doll (with curls, curves and all), I spent much of my childhood going after the most minute details in my Hot Wheels and plastic action figures. I was a real tomboy back then and proud of it. 😀 Oh, and did I mention that my favourite TV show of all time was none other than The Simpsons? 😛

So when LEGO announced that they were releasing a new line of mini figurines in conjunction with TV’s longest running animated sitcom, I was undeniably excited. It wasn’t before long before I got my hands on all 16 characters with nothing but sheer feeling of them blind bags (and a little bit of cheating in between):

Hello Kitty Bubbly World-Inspired Outfits

Psssst. After taking the world by storm as classic fairytale characters and circus stars in 2013, Hello Kitty is back. And this time, she’s dressed as her friends from Sanrio in conjunction with her 40th anniversary this year.

Dubbed the Bubbly World collection, it sees the world’s most feline making her debut at McDonald’s outlets island wide, not only as other characters like Purin and Maru but – wait for it – shaped as a cute bubble:

Autumn Winter 2013 Collection @ New Look (OMY Blog Club)

Call me crazy, but I’ve never been big on autumn and winter.

It probably has something to do with the (slightly) traumatizing experience of my winter holidays, when I had to trudge through ankle deep snow while freezing in sub zero temperatures. Besides, how many of us actually relish the idea of looking like a penguin who’s trying to impersonate an overstuffed dumpling?

So for the majority of my life, my sunny, tank-top-filled wardrobe and the dark, heavy textiles of the chilly seasons have been pretty much incompatible. That is, until New Look rolled out three new looks (pun unintended!) for its Autumn Winter 2013 Collection.

My DIY Gakkenflex TLR

I received a DIY Gakkenflex TLR Camera from a good friend of mine on my 21st birthday, and I’ve only gotten round to shooting two rolls of film on it ever since.

Well, one and a half, to be exact.

You see, I’m not one who’s into the whole fix-it-yourself-with-nothing-but-a-Japanese-manual business (although it was my friend’s way of introducing me to analog photography). So it took a while before I got round to fixing up about a quarter, before my lovely friends took over and settled the rest (amazingly with half the moaning and whinging I did). 😀

My 1st Craftholic

I finally caved in and bought my first ever Craftholic last weekend

Working in a nine to five job means that I’m desk bound most of the time, which creates fodder for back aches and the like, especially when I’ve a longstanding tendency to hunch after sitting still for a prolonged length of time.

So why not get one of those cutesy cushions for my seat and, at the same time, brighten up my humble lil space at the office? Enter Craftholics. 😀
