Monti Festino @ The Fullerton Pavillion – Singapore’s Longest Brunch by the Bay Featuring Live Risotto, Homemade Pasta, Frutti de Mare, and More (Invite)

Sunday brunches are made of these – long, slow-paced afternoons with your loved ones, your favourite dishes on the table, coupled with a picturesque view of the city on a weekend. Oh, and not forgetting a glass of bubbly in hand as you contemplate life’s simple pleasures.

[Closed] 1460 Tteokbokki @ Cineleisure – Grab Your Korean Street Snacks and Rainbow Bingsu Here (Invite)

Update June 2020: 1460 Tteokbokki has closed.

ANYWAY. I was psyched to hear that a Korean street snack shop had opened in the heart of Orchard Road, at Cineleisure. Helmed by the same team behind Joo Bar, E!ght Korean BBQ and Sticky, 1460 Tteokbooki is a casual takeaway snack shop that specialises in various renditions of tteokbokki, as its name suggests!

A Poke Theory @ Boon Tat Street – Another Poke Bowl Place Opens in Singapore’s CBD (Invite)

Work in the CBD, and you’ll never hungry – or so they say. Actually, the proper saying is, work in the CBD, and you’ll be spoilt for choice every day over what to eat, because there are so many options available for the same type of cuisine.

This time, the cuisine in question is Hawaiian. More specifically, the wildly popular and healthy Poke Bowl. Hot on the heels of Aloha Poke on Amoy Street, A Poke Theory has opened its doors on Boon Tat Street. Time for a little friendly competition? 😉

A Poke Theory

Head’s up if you plan on getting your Poke fix at – they ran out of Poke bowls at 1pm on their first day. Better head down early!
