If ever there was a prize for personifying the saying, “a couple that works together, stays together,” the honour would no doubt go to Creamery Boutique Ice Creams. Nestled amongst other cafes and watering holes along Tyrwhitt Road in Lavender, the boutique dessert cafe is actually the Singapore branch of a Thai dessert brand.
Update January 2023: The Affogato Lounge has closed.
Following the success of The Affogato Bar, Singapore’s first standalone coffee bar to specialise in affogato desserts, The Affogato Group has opened its second concept, The Affogato Lounge on the ground floor of boutique hotel KeSa House on Keong Saik Road.

Every so often, a new entry joins Singapore’s burgeoning scene of self-proclaimed hipster cafes, bistros, and craft beer joints – so much so that it’s impossible to keep up with who’s coming and going.
Taking over the space previously held by Botanist (another cafe from my growing list of places that I never got to visit before they closed) on Neil Road is Cheeky, a cafe-by-day, craft-beer-joint-by-night establishment.
Like so many of its predecessors that have come and gone in our ever so fickle F&B landscape, Cheeky aims to break the mould by delivering “top-notch cafe fare with a twist or two”.

Update January 2023: Pasta Supremo has closed.

Pasta Supremo, the newest brainchild of the team behind The Salted Plum, is where you will find some of Singapore’s wackiest Asian fusion pasta creations. Located opposite Gudetama Cafe at Suntec City, this modern pop-up is already enjoying immense popularity among diners seeking something different.
World famous Burger and Lobster has become the latest addition to Jewel Changi Airport’s star studded lineup of F&B brands. Occupying a relatively small area of Jewel’s fifth and highest level, the London born restaurant opened to much hype, with healthy sized crowds throughout lunch and dinner times on the weekends.
Update June 2020: Habitat by HonestBee has closed.
The future of eating and shopping is here! Habitat by Honestbee opened its doors late last year, bringing its online grocery delivery service to a gorgeous brick and mortar space in Pasir Panjang. The spacious warehouse combines retail and F&B elements into one cashless concept, and has stirred up quite a storm among food aficionados and techies alike.
Update June 2020: Non Entrée Desserts has closed.
Non Entrée Desserts needs no introduction. Located at the end of Rangoon Road, the dessert specialty cafe has made waves for its quirky desserts modelled after traditional local delicacies and hawker fare.
