Hawker food gets an upgrade this National Day month at PARKROYAL on Pickering’s Loco Local buffet! Featuring a selection of luxed up dishes inspired by our humble hawker stapled, Loco Local aims to surprise and delight guests during its limited run from 5 August to 1 September 2019.

Diners will be greeted with live stations dishing up mouthwatering seafood-based creations such as Hokkien Noodles Served with Baby Lobster and Alaksan King Crab Meat Char Kway Teow. With the fresh lobster and crab meat elevating these beloved noodle dishes, it’s no wonder we’ll be heading back for seconds!

Equally noteworthy is the Lobster Roti Jala, whose vibrant yellow exterior attracts from afar. Other live stations include Hainanese Chicken Rice and Fried Carrot Cake, all of which are made to order for your enjoyment.

Of course, there’s no way you should miss out on the all-time favourite: Singapore Chilli Crab! Together with the Curry Lobster, this is easily one of the most popular dishes to be snapped up within minutes of being served at the buffet line at Loco Local. The flesh melts in your mouth in a single bite, while the chilli and spices pack a fiery punch that is best complemented by the fried mantou. 

The Steamed Oysters present a true fusion of flavours, as it can be enjoyed with a choice of three dips – mala, Thai chilli, and sambal belachan. The spiciness of the dips complements the richness of the plump, succulent oysters, which are steamed to perfection. Challenge yourself and take on all three dips!

More local delights await at the dessert table, which includes Ice Kachang, Tau Sar Piah, Orh Nee, and Mini Assorted Nyonya Kuehs. My personal favourite is the Chendol!

Loco Local runs every evening till 1 September 2019, so don’t miss out! Buffet prices include free flow of teh tarik, chilled coconut water, and other local beverages.
