Fancy whipping up a little Japanese feast for your stay-home Christmas dinner? Sakana Japanese Food is here to help with DIY Sushi Kits that are ready to go!
Mouthwatering selections from Sakana’s holiday special include Salmon Belly Sushi Slice/ Aburi ($8.75), Grilled Saba Sushi Slice/ Teriyaki ($8.10), Marinated Salmon Caviar/ Ikura ($9.85 for 100g, $22.80 for large), and Tamago Yaki ($9.30 for 500g). You can even order Sushi Rice Balls ($7.90 for 15pcs) that are pre-shaped for your convenience!
Preparation is also pretty straightforward; simply thaw in your refrigerator overnight and you have yourself your ingredients for your own sushi party! Better yet: gather your Japanese food kakis and form a mini assembly line at home. For the rice, submerge the packets in boiling water for about 3 – 4 minutes (make sure there aren’t any holes or tears in them that would allow water to seep through).
As part of their holiday launch, Sakana has also added a new section of sweets for you to enjoy your favourite Japanese desserts. Including Walnut Daifuku ($3.20) and Mini Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($3.60).

Walnut Daifuku ($3.20)
I thoroughly enjoyed making these. The ingredients are fuss-free and tasty, and the Salmon Belly Sushi Slice and Tamago Yaki are my two top picks. Enjoy 15% off all DIY Sushi Kits from 21 – 27 November 2020!
