Takashimaya is already home to  a multitude of cafes and coffee joints for shoppers to rest their feet. So, what’s one more, right? TAG Espresso is a home-ground coffee brand that recently branched out into the cafe scene, with its newest outpost situated near the lift lobby at Tower B. 

While it is a tad challenging to find your way there, TAG Espresso’s combination of modern and botanical elements makes it a calming retreat from the more bustling areas in Takashimaya. The bright lights and big screen lend the cafe a modern vibe. 

TAG Espresso has been making a name for itself with its aesthetically-pleasing lattes. From the locally-inspired kaya pandan to the refreshing mint and pineapple, these coffees are delightful to sip on. Scoring a counter seat means front-row view to all that pourover action. 

The Kaya Pandan Latte ($9++) is on the sweet side, though not too much. I like how the saccharine notes of the kaya blend with the bitterness of the coffee. 

 

Food items are also available, from typical brunch fare such as Avocado Toast ($18.90++) to Fish and Chips and even Smoky Fried Rice.
