Chatterbox Cafe @ WEAVE @ Resorts World Sentosa – Enjoy Luxe Chicken Rice with a View (Media)

Singapore’s most luxe chicken rice brand, Chatterbox has opened a third location at the new WEAVE @ Resorts World Sentosa, where diners can enjoy its signature premium delicacies for $2-3 cheaper. Named Chatterbox Cafe, the new outlet blends casual dining with a chic setting.

With Chatterbox Cafe being situated on the upper levels of WEAVE, customers can enjoy a quiet retreat from the main tourist hubbub of Resorts World Sentosa. Perfect for some lunch or dinnertime in between exploring the island’s attractions, depending on what time you visit.

Chatterbox’s claim to fame, its Mandarin Chicken Rice ($25++ for Individual Set, $42++ for Half Chicken, $2-3++ for Rice), does not disappoint. Served with fragrant, broth-cooked jasmine rice and a light-tasting broth, the boneless steamed chicken is delightfully tender, with all its flavours elevated by the trio of signature sauces. If there is a reason why Chatterbox has been on the map since its opening in 1971, this is it.

While Chatterbox is (rightfully) known for one of Singapore’s most luxe chicken rice dishes, it’s worth checking out the other mains and sides on the menu.

The Seafood Hokkien Mee ($26++) is one worthy contender, with umami-rich, stir-fried noodles served with succulent prawns, squid, pork belly and bean sprouts. Just thinking of that rich, homemade seafood broth is making my mouth water.

Another local classic is the Crispy Salted Egg Chicken Wings ($13++), coated with a highly addictive salted egg yolk sauce that packs a ton of umami and heat. Despite its crisp exterior, the chicken wings remained succulent and juicy.

Another iconic street food worth checking out is the Grilled Satay ($17++), which serves six skewers of smoky chicken and beef meat with a sweet-savoury peanut sauce.

Aside from elevated street snacks, Chatterbox Cafe pays homage to Singapore’s zhi char culture with its tasty side dishes, including the Stir-Fried Beef with Ginger and Onions ($25++) and Stir-Fried Prawns with Palm Sauce ($28++). Writing this, I’m craving their bold aromas and mouthwatering flavours!

For desserts, you can try the Sweet Platter ($13++), an assortment of Peranakan kuehs that includes Sago Bandung, Kueh Bengka, Pulut Bengka, and Sarang Semut. It’s a nice, traditional finish to your meal.
