Can’t get enough of Japanese food no matter which part of Singapore you’re in? Good new for you then: RE&S Holdings Limited has opened its newest Japanese food venture at none other than Jurong Point in Boon Lay!

Taking over from previous tenant Shokotsu Ten, &JOY Dining Hall is a multi-brand concept that houses several Japanese F&B brands under one roof, in the basement of Jurong Point where its Japanese food street currently resides.

Brands offering authentic, mouth-watering offerings include:

• &JOY Eats and & JOY Drinks: a takeaway concept offering affordable bites and snacks
• Wadori: A yakitori shop that serves charcoal grilled Japanese meats and snacks on a stick
• My Gohan: Mix-and-match Japanese grilled fishes and side dishes to every individual’s liking
• Roman-Tei:  Osaka-based beef steak specialist
• Ramen KIOU: Another Osaka entrant that is known for its fragrant and tender roasted pork slices
• Pittarino: A locally-owned Japanese-style pizza joint that makes all its pizzas from scratch
• Sushi-GO: Casual sushi eatery that takes the sushi train concept to a whole new level

Hailing from the previous tenant, Wadori Yakitori enjoys immense popularity among diners for its skewered sticks. The Jurong Point outlet is the sole outlet that uses a charcoal grill for that extra smokiness. A steady queue of customers can be seen lining up for its goods on the weekend.

&JOY Eats prides itself on selling takeaway boxes of sushi, sashimi, and other bite-sized goodies at affordable prices. You can even enjoy your snacks on the spot at their dine-in space.

Customise your meal to your heart’s content at My Gohan, which serves up Japanese home-style meals complete with hot and cold souzai (side dishes), tempura, and udon. 

Apart from homegrown concepts, RE&S has also brought two popular Osaka-based brands to open their first outlets in Singapore. Ramen KIOU whips up a robust range of ramen, including innovative flavours like Tomato Cheese Ramen which are sure to whet curious appetites.

The other brand hailing from Japan’s Kitchen is Roman.Tei, a well-loved beef specialist and wholesaler known for its “golden ratio” of tender beef with fragrant Japanese rice. This is already turning out to be a choice contender among customers, with its exquisite Jyu box serving wowing diners for under $20 nett.

Aside from &JOY’s expansive dining hall, two standalone eateries have also set up shop at Jurong Point. Pittarino, meaning “just right” in Japanese, prides itself on hand-stretched, freshly-baked Neapolitan pizza and pasta with distinctly Japanese flavours.

Sushi-GO is proving itself to be a winning concept for families, with its food being made to order and served to your table via its food-bearing shinkansen to lock in that freshness. Have fun guessing which shinkansen will come whizzing up to your table!

Another selling point about &JOY Dining Hall is its convenience. Instead of having to queue at each and every stall (a dreaded part of the public dining experience), diners can scan the QR code on their table to order, and keep an eye on the table showing their order numbers!
