A new bubble tea player has come to town. MEME Xpress, a popular Malaysian brand known for its fruity yogurt drinks and cute, palm-sized cups, opened its first store in none other than Toa Payoh HDB Hub, home to an already bustling scene of bubble tea shops. At the helm of its Singapore franchise is none other than Mediacorp veteran actor Chen Shucheng, who himself has dipped his toes in F&B management in between his acting stints!
Drinks are available in “Regular” (I say “Regular” because it’s really a pint-sized serving that fits in the palm of your hand; so cute) and “Medium” servings (that’s the equivalent of a regular-sized bubble tea by, well, regular standards). I like the concept of the smaller-sized cup, because sometimes I just want to quench my thirst without having to commit to a full serving. And it also helps me feel a teensy bit less guilty about ingesting too much processed drinks!
The Yogurt Fruity series ($4 – $4.20 for Regular, $5 – $5.20 for Medium) is a palatable blend of yogurt and fresh fruits, making it somewhat like a drinkable version of a morning cup of yogurt. Giving your cup a thorough shake to mix the ingredients together is highly recommended for the best flavour experience.

Strawberry Yogurt Fruity ($4.20 for Regular, $5.20 for Medium)

Mango Yogurt Fruity ($4.20 for Regular, $5.20 for Medium)
While the Strawberry Yogurt Fruity yields distinct, tangy taste from the strawberry pulp, it’s the Mango Yogurt Fruity that is a perfect blend of yogurt and rich mango pulp. Smooth and delicious, it’s just the thing to beat the humid weather. I also love that real fruits are used in the recipe, so you’re getting your money’s worth!
