Snow City in Jurong is now home to another attraction – Fountain Microbrewery, which quietly opened its doors last month. Situated one level above the family attraction, the cozy gastropub blends three decades of master brewer Mung Tjai’s experience with good ol’ recipes that satisfy.
Sip on six unique, locally-crafted beers ranging from a light-tasting, White Wash Weizen to a Dark Spring Dunkel. The alfresco area is ideal for enjoying the tranquil scenery that borders Snow City.

White Wash Weizen ($18)
Bar bites are aplenty to accompany your tipple. Groups can indulge in a Fountain Platter ($30), complete with buffalo wings, fried fish bites, grilled pork shabu shau, and grilled vegetables and fries. A great choice for a cheat day.

For something lighter on the palate, go for a Bruschetta a la Funghi ($18) or Bruschetta a la Jamon Serrano ($20). The burrata is delightfully melty, and pairs well with the jamon and mushrooms.

The Flame Grilled Calamari ($16) is an unassuming dish that packs some surprisingly robust flavours, with the homemade curry spice butter adding a spicy dimension to the freshly grilled calamari. $16 does seem pricey for three squids though, and I wished there was more to go around.

Last but not least, get the Fountain Signature Burger ($22) if you’re going for something substantial. Served with 150g flame grilled wagyu patty, caramelised onions, mushrooms, and melted trio of cheese in true gastropub fashion.
