I first chanced upon Sarah’s Loft’s pretty cakes on Instagram and since then, I’ve been hooked on her visually arresting creations. Peruse any list on Singapore’s top cake shops and bakers, and you’ll be hard pressed not to find this household name.

Helmed by Keith Koh and Anthony Utama, the latter of whom also owns the famous Tamade Cafeteria in Bali, this new entry to Tanjong Pagar’s robust kaleidoscope of food joints and watering holes is where you can expect to find street food staples with a couple of twists.

Opened in 2014, %ARABICA is the brainchild of Kenneth Shoji, a coffee farm owner and coffee machine distributor whose love for coffee sprouted during his time in the “unique fusion of beach hippie culture” in Venice Beach, California. Since then, the coffee chain’s minimalist stores have sprung up around locations ranging from historic to iconic, as well as fashionable cities like Shanghai and Abu Dhabi.
