Jewel Changi Airport is set to be one of the biggest openings for a retail, dining, and entertainment space in Singapore in 2019. With a whopping 300 facilities spanning across 10-storeys, it won’t be long before you start looking for your next bite, or a chance to chill over good food and company.

Here are 19 places to snack, dine, and hang out in between exploring Jewel Changi Airport’s expansive entertainment and flight facilities, including the world’s biggest indoor waterfall, the HSBC Rain Vortex!

When are they open? 

Most F&B outlets at Jewel Changi Airport will be open from 10am – 10pm. However, there are a handful that operate till the wee hours of the morning, just in case you’re arriving or departing at a late hour.

Who’s open all night?

1. Shake Shack (02-256) 

Probably the biggest talk in town belongs to Shake Shack, a self-proclaimed fine casual chain specialising in juicy Shake-cago Dogs and 100% Angus beef Shackburgers (there’s also a ‘Shroom Burger that oozes cheese when you bite into it!). In honour of their first foray into Southeast Asia, Shake Shack’s culinary director, Mark Rosati, has also introduced a number of exclusive, locally-inspired drinks and desserts, including a Pandan Shake and Jewel Melaka Concrete that contain hints of gula melaka!

With Shake Shack being one of the most highly anticipated openings at Jewel Changi Airport, be prepared to queue when it opens on 17 April.

2. A&W (B2-209) 

Who’s ready to hop on the nostalgia train?! After a prolonged hiatus from Singapore, A&W Restaurant is back with their root beer floats, coney dogs, and curly fries. If you’re looking to give your tastebuds a blast from the past, though, be prepared to wait – queue time is at least 2.5 hours. As this is one of the few joints to be open 24 hours, why not hang out till after 10pm for supper?

3. JiNjja Chicken (B1-247)

With not one, but two outlets at Changi Airport, Jinjja Chicken must be really covering their bases. Head to this Halal-certified South Korean fast food chain for your fill of Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki, kimbap, and more – all in a trendy, casual setting.

4. Cafe&Meal Muji (02-227/228/229)

From cold salads to warm deli dishes, Cafe&Meal Muji dishes up Japanese inspired cuisines that are not only healthy, but also delicious. Dine amidst minimalist furniture, and ponder your next Muji-themed interior decorating project while you’re at it!

5. Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta (02-242)

The world’s first Michelin-starred ramen shop, Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuta, will also be whipping up their world famous handmade noodles at Jewel Changi Airport.

6. Kam’s Roast (02-210)

Another Michelin-starred addition to Jewel Changi Airport, diners at Kam’s Roast can get a taste of their wholesome Cantonese cuisine, including roast duck, soya chicken, and suckling pig. DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THEIR SUCKLING PIG!

Exclusive to Kam’s Roast at Jewel, is their Hong Kong Premium Roast Travel Pack, which includes a family-sized roast duck, bao buns, and cured sausages. Good news for travellers who want to fulfil their Cantonese food cravings back home.

Torn between pizza and pasta for lunch or dinner? Why not both! Known for their pizz-stas – pizza with pasta stuffed crusts – Pizza Maru is a South Korean that marries Korean flavours with Italian recipes. Look out for their ‘gram-worthy bibimpap which is served stacked!

9. Yun Nans (02-217) 

A household name with over 150 outlets in China, Yun Nans specialises in the tantalising flavours of Southwestern Chinese cuisine. Expect wholesome ingredients that pack a subtle kick of spice, as well as dishes that bear hints of Thai influence, given the close proximity of the region to China’s Thai neighbour.

10. Aloha Poké (05-200)

Pioneer of the poké bowl movement, Aloha Poké, will be scooping up freshly made bowls of this popular Hawaiian staple. Aside from their signature poké bowls, you can also kick back with some tiki cocktails, Kona craft beer, and other tiki goodies, all in the comfort of the air-conditioned dome-shaped Jewel.

Potato Corner is a Filipino based snack chain selling – you guessed it – flavoured fries! With seven flavours ranging from wacky wasabi to chilli BBQ and sweet corn, these fries make a handy snack that you can hold and eat while exploring sights like the Shiseido Forest Valley and Canopy Park. Watch out for those cartoonish coloured powders!

16. Starbucks & Starbucks Reserve (01-K207 and 02-204)

Starbucks sure has been outdoing itself lately, with one flagship store opening after another. For fans of this international coffee chain (or those who just love the idea of being seen at their trendy stores), you can now go ape at their largest Starbucks Reserve in Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport! With beautiful greenery bordering concrete interior finishings, this is set to be another popular spot for OOTD pictures.

Sipping a cold one in the comfort of an air conditioned dome! Tiger Street Lab is a concept store meets beer garden, but without the dreaded humidity of sitting outside in the stifling evening heat. And true to their dedication to promoting street food and heritage, they’ll be partnering with Keng Eng Kee Seafood over six months.
