Well, good news for foodies on a non-Michelin budget: you can savour Chef Chen Kentaro’s mouthwatering creations at price-friendly points at Chen’s Mapo Tofu in the heart of Singapore’s central business district, OUE Downtown 2 in Tanjong Pagar! 

Signature Combo ($12.80)

Expect to sample Szechuan dishes with Japanese influences at this casual eatery, which hosts hungry office dwellers come lunch and dinner time. The ever-famous Mapo Tofu 麻婆豆腐 makes its appearance in the Mapo Don ($10.50), which serves up a mouthwatering bowl of premium Japanese rice, topped with a silky blanket of bite-sized tofu covered in a fragrant amalgamation of minced meat and fermented bean sauce.

The spicy textures and flavours, coupled with soft, fluffy rice, takes comfort food to another level.
