[CLOSED] HAYO Handcrafted Yogurt Bar Japan Autumn Season Special @ Middle Road, Bugis – Japanese Inspired Flavours While Stocks Last (Media)

Update January 2023: HAYO has closed.

While Singapore isn’t host to the typical four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, flavour geniuses at restaurants and eateries across the island sure make it easy to enjoy seasonal goodies and flavours all the same. In light of the leaves turning and temperatures dipping over in Japan, Hayo Handcrafted Yogurt Bar has released a Japan Autumn Season Special which works classic Japanese flavours into its 100% Australian handcrafted yogurt smoothies.

While one may find the usual suspects like matcha and hojicha on this seasonal menu, the yogurt base is still the dominant flavour profile here. Especially with the Azu-Hayo-Cha ($8.30) and Hayo-Cha ($7.90) which are the two “matcha” entries.

The Hayo-Chi-Cha ($7.90) has a slight hojicha aftertaste that lingers after the first couple of sips.

The Hayo-Ro ($7.90), which is HAYO’s take on taro, is one of the more visually captivating offerings from the Japan Autumn menu. The flavours and textures here are closer to orh nee, though.

Don’t expect anything distinctly Japanese from these flavours, despite the name. The Australian yogurt, which HAYO has exclusive distribution rights for in Singapore, is still the main star here. That said, they are really pretty to look at, and if you’re looking for something different from your usual yogurt fix, you can get your hands on these seasonal flavours while stocks last.
